Step into the world of modern miniatures and learn how to build a visually stunning dollhouse bookcase from start to finish. In this hands-on class, you’ll be guided through the construction of a detailed library-style bookcase complete with magnetic opening lower cabinets, upper shelving, and an intricately designed ladder.
What you’ll learn:
• How to assemble a multi-part miniature kit
• Painting and finishing techniques for a smooth finish and realistic look
• Styling ideas to bring your miniature library to life
This class is perfect for experienced miniaturists who want to expand their skills, as well as confident beginners ready to take on a rewarding project. By the end of the class, you’ll have a finished miniature bookcase that will become a true focal piece in your dollhouse or roombox.
Materials supplied by teacher: All materials to create items and ladder in photo along with paints, glues and work mats for use in class. (I will have a few surprise items for your shelves)
Supplies for students to bring: x-acto knife, tweezers, & paint brushes. While a selection of paint colors will be available, if you’d like a specific color for your bookcase or ladder, please bring your own paint to class.
